Bill died in Geraldton after a long illness, bravely borne, on 28 January. He was aged 65. Bill had come out to Australia on the Asturias in 1947 and was resident at Tardun for the next five years, eventually leaving in 1952. Those who knew him well, will remember Bill as a kind man with a great passion for fishing. He leaves a wife, Val, and three children.
